can't sleep, mulling over this..

relationships can build you up, yet tear someone apart.. unavoidable, we need it to live.. so we need to be able to deal with it properly, and we cannot do it alone.. i pray that God will lead my step in every relationship i have with people.. that may none fall apart and may all be honoring to Him..

talk about degrading societies, more and more states in the U.S are legalising gay marrriages.. when i accidentally saw the horrifying image of adam lambert frenching a guy, i scrolled down to the comment box to see stuff like "wow that's hot!"

just about a decade ago seeing two guys hold hands was enough to cause an uproar.. now it is socially acceptable in every part of the world.. (ok maybe not tribal lands or something) in fact it is socially UNacceptable to frown upon such behaviour as we have all learnt from the AWARE incident..

when miss california answered in her missUSA pagent question that gay marriages are unacceptable, they interviewed some christians and asked them how they felt about it and they said they were ashamed of her cos we are to love our neighbors as ourselves and gay marriages should hence be acceptable as we are to embrace them..

mmhmm, ever heard of loving the sinner but hating the sin?.. bahh, what can you expect from a country which has gay churches right..

i dont know why i'm blogging about this anyway, controversy is not my cup of tea.. i just feel indignant about the compromises made to the word of God.. by no means am i saying i will isolate gays/lesbians and burn them at stake, nor will i even in the least ostracise them.. it's simply appaling to me what the world has come to..

will it be that in a few years i'd have to accept pple who have sex with animals?.. the recoil you feel from this very statement was what used to be the reaction towards gays.. the slippery slope argument stands tall for perversion has creeped into our society and will only continue expanding..

we are numb, numb to it all.. losing your virginity becomes essential in social acceptance when it used to bring utter disgrace.. teaching abstinence before marriage soon became the as-long-as-you-know-he's-the-one argument which further evolved to: just wear a condom.. look at yourselves, look at what we have become..

humans acting like uncontrollable animals with their irrepressible animalistic instincts.. some may tell me i'm over-reacting, afterall spore's not that bad.. well, i'll try to remind myself of that fact the next time i see couples groping each other on the mrt.. or the bus... or lifts.. or corridors.. or stairways.. bus stops.. under some random tree...

now that that's outta my system.. the real reason for this blog post..

the poem says it all i guess... relationships are hard to deal with sometimes, for some maybe all the time.. but we are called to love, i need patience.. friendships forged were meant to last a lifetime and not be blown away at the slightest of winds..

may everything i do and say be out of love..
